This is a dataset of national election legislation from 165 countries.

The Electoral Legislation by Country dataset aims to provide a comprehensive compilation of relevant election laws for each country. This is a subset of a large data collection covering specific election laws relating to the following categories: Polling stations, voting methods, technology, identification, provisional/tendered ballots, registration model, and registration methods. It compliments research from the initial data collection with legislation and other relevant information found primarily through government websites, Electoral Management Bodies, and election observation reports from governmental and non-governmental organisations. Finally, research was also supplemented with information from data repositories such as ACE Project and Constitute Project. Note that these documents primarily constitute the electoral legislation of countries but may be supplemented with other regulations not found here.
